Electroman7979 Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Hey everyone, I am using AutoCAD electrical, and know that part of the software fairly well. But now I'm trying to do some basic AutoCAD and can't figure it out. I did a panel layout in model space, and in my layout tab, i want to make a few view ports. I want to have some layers turned on and off in one VP without effecting the other one. How can I do that? whenver I turn layers on/off, it is reflected in both. Thanks for the help! James Quote

James double-click inside the viewport, then use the Layer Freeze tool (under the Layers II toolbar) to select the layers you want frozen in the Viewport only. Or, use the Layer Dropdown menu, and select the 3rd icon from the left, which is the Viewport Freeze button. Hope this helps. Quote

ReMark Posted September 22, 2009 Posted September 22, 2009 Look in your Help file for Freeze Specified Layers in a Layout Viewport. You can find it by searching on the words viewport freeze. Quote
