clionutta Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 New to 3d mode. Just a quick question, how come when i go to draw a cylinder, i can only draw it face down, ie on the y axis. It wont let me draw it side on. also when i go to move object, copy objects etc etc, it wont let me move/copy them up or down, just sideways. I wondered if there was a switch or option to toggle on or off that governed the polar settings etc. Cheers-dave:oops: Quote
ReMark Posted October 1, 2009 Posted October 1, 2009 You have to reorient the UCS to work in the Z direction. You do know how to manipulate it right? Quote
clionutta Posted October 2, 2009 Author Posted October 2, 2009 Em no, not really tbh. As i say, im relatively new to 3D, and have been following the autodesk tutorials step by step.Help appreciated Quote
clionutta Posted October 2, 2009 Author Posted October 2, 2009 Hey, ignore last comment, i got it to work:) For some reason, the tutorials arent in order. They asked me to creat a pump housing "as shown", but never explained how to change the ucs. Never mind, im on my way now. Ill give you guys a shout if i have any further problems. Cheers again - Dave Quote
