I have been trying to import a few very large files of 200-400 meg into a home R-14 system. It must get there, but only for a few minutes as then some sort of an error mesage goes across the monitor for about 2-3 seconds, and am instantly back at Windows level. It was so fast I don't know what it said. The error message stayed visible for only like 2-3 seconds, and then poof. Here's Windows!!!

Is there a place I can go to read the error messages? I tried the standard seach for a text file minutes later on, but nothing came up.

200 to 400MB? Really? On a system running R14? What are the system specs? You may not have enough RAM and/or large enough swap file to accomplish the task.

Hit the "print screen" key when message appears.

That is main problem. I may wait on it less than one minute for error message to show up, and then waited nearly 2- the next time. Very irregular as to when it pops to the common Windows format. If it go to PRINT SCREEN, it wouldthen print the Windows Icons etc.

I don't really have the time to hit any button. I get kicked back to Windows within two seconds at any random time too. I am not a dedicated monitor "ONLY" looker, but happened to notice two times as I came aroung he corner to room that there was a error message upon the monitor that must have showed up for only 2 seconds and then the whole system shut down, kicked out, and went into Windows. Thus I do not know what that error mesage said, nor had the time to sit down and hit some button at the keyboard. I don't know what it said. for can't put eyeglasses on that fast. Can't do all that is required in the 2-3 seconds it shows.

Thus I thought I could go to some reader file (as explained in some manual of years ago) and see what it said. Only thing I can rememebr was that the file said the text could not be altered.

Now, where do I try and find that error message file then?
