Dav179 Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Hi, I am trying to put an arc length on a circle but dont understand the commands or thr help. I have a 600mm circle and want to dimension 200mm on the circumference, any help appreciated. I am using Autocad 2006 Quote
ScribbleJ Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Is it a full 360 degree circle that has a circumference of 600mm but you only want to dimension 200mm of its arc? The Dimarc command only works on actual arcs and not a circle. I would suggest making an arc that is only 200mm and dimension it and if you want to show the complete circle draw another arc with the same diameter to complete the rest of the circle. Quote
Safwah Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 If you want to have a full circle shown but only dimension part of an arc on the circle i would probably. Draw circle, Draw lines from centre of circle to intersect circle diameter and create the arc Trim outside of circle to leave just the arc Draw same circle from original centre point Trim inside of circle Now you have what looks to be a full circle but is actually 2 lines, then dimension the arc Or if you dont need to show a full circle then just draw and arc and dimension that?
