Just got a dwg from a customer that won't zoom extents. I do "ERASE" then "ALL" then "REMOVE", window what I can see, and the drawing locks up at the "REMOVE" command, or "R". 15 minutes waiting and the command doesn't finish. Any thoughts?

Try to do an 'audit' and 'purge' on the drawing prior to doing anything else, and make sure you save it to another name (as to not overwrite the original drawing). Could be an error within the drawing or something.

Thanks. That did the trick, but it still took it's sweet time. Not sure exactly how long, because I went to lunch when the command was in the process, but when I returned, it worked.

Thanks again. You guys are tops.

Right on, those commands should actually be run prior to saving and closing out a drawing anyway. It's one of those 'good' habits to get into. Personally, I created a toolbar button that runs them all with one click and does a save/close as well, works slick. Glad that helped you out, good stuff.
