Grenco Posted October 26, 2009 Posted October 26, 2009 Hi all, I'm using a MS ACCES database for a partlist. I keep it up to date with the handles on each item in my drawing. Everything works fine. Except sometimes, autocad gives all the entity's new handles. So I lost the link between my entity and my record in acces. Why/when does autocad rename all handles? I can't recreate the problem because it takes place randomly. Most of the time the handles stays the same. But sometimes it changes and my databse is empty. Quote

Grenco Posted October 26, 2009 Author Posted October 26, 2009 Take a look at this thread:http://discussion1.autodesk.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=729961 Thanks! But Hmmm.. That's a clear discussion, NOT  Conclusion for me: Handle stays the same and if object is deleted the handle is not given to new elements. Copying wil create a new handle for the new objects. I can't find anything of my problem. Perhaps i'm reading over it? Anyway. My handles HAVE changed! But they don't do it often. Only with some kind of usage it changes i guess... Quote
