CADPOLE Posted October 28, 2009 Posted October 28, 2009 I have no osnaps on my dimentions. Even if I type in "NOD" or "END" I can't get them to show. I am using Auto Cad 2010 Mech. I found a thread that mentioned this problem. http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?t=18034 They said the answer was "Power Snap" and to make sure your "Entity filter" was turned off. I type these into command line and get nothing. As usual help. . . is no help, It dosn't give-up lead one. I'm out of here for the day but will check back in the morning(7 a.m. Alaska time) to see if anyone has a solution. apreciate any help, Thanks, Cadpole Quote
ReMark Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 From the AutoDesk website: Power Snaps "Ease the repetitive task of geometry selection by using task-based power snap settings. AutoCAD Mechanical includes 5 task-based sets for object snaps, as well as many more options for selecting specific geometry. Quickly choose the snap setting that works best for the task at hand." ReMark Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 This was the suggested fix in AutoCAD Mech 2006 for a problem that sounds similar to yours. It might be worth a try. To snap to dimensions in AutoCAD® Mechanical or Mechanical Desktop At the command prompt, enter ampowersnap. In the Power Snap Settings dialog box, click filters. In the Entity Filters dialog box, clear the Dimension check box. Click OK. This too came from the AutoDesk website. Please let us know if it works. Quote
CADPOLE Posted October 29, 2009 Author Posted October 29, 2009 OOOHHHH!!!!! Happy, happy, joy, joy, it worked!!! I have dimensional osnaps! Man, I missed these. Thank you! You would think I would have been able to find this info in the help section of Cad by inputting "power snap" all that pulled up is the glossary that didn't contain that information. I wonder if auto desk will ever learn to make help helpful. You have taught me that I need to go to the web site, along with Cad Tutor. Much appreciated. Cadpole Quote
ReMark Posted October 29, 2009 Posted October 29, 2009 I think you have overdosed on the joy-juice just a bit. The AutoDesk website can be a good source of information but like AutoCAD's Help file it can get a tad perplexing trying to track down information. I'm always amazed that even the most specific search will come back with "500 hits". How can that be? Who knows. Anyway, put the website on your Favorites list as you are apt to be visiting often in the future. And, you're welcomed Cadpole. Quote
