caddiva Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Hi! Anyone know why as I am working on a drawing it becomes write protected? It happened last week and today again. I suspect some lisp routine going on, but I am not sure. I am working from a network server...So.. thanks! Quote
caddiva Posted November 2, 2009 Author Posted November 2, 2009 I did ask "the cad manager", his suggestion was for me to work from the local drive....In my humble opinion, not very practical.... Quote
Nellie Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 When that happens to me it normaly means I'm working on a read only drawing. Try saving as something else. Quote
caddiva Posted November 2, 2009 Author Posted November 2, 2009 Thanks Nellie..but that I know. What I do not know is WHY a drawing i AM CURRENTLY WORKING ON, changes...I think I did not make myself clear... Quote
ReMark Posted November 2, 2009 Posted November 2, 2009 Working off a copy saved to one's hard drive is the most efficient way to edit a drawing. I never edit drawings that reside on the network. It's just one more obstacle (speed) to surmount. Quote
