Hi,

I'm been drawing with 2D for over 3 years now for a civil engineering consultant. However, recently I've changed job to a mechanical company where I need to prepare drawings in both isometric and 3D. I need help on drawing a twisting pipe. Can anyone please help me?

I need to draw a pipe which is twisted in 2 directions to suit the site conditions. On plan view, the pipe has a 135 degrees bend. Then it goes up another 45 degrees and at the same time is twists another 6 degrees.

Can anyone help me? thanks

Attached herewith is one of the pipes i'm required to draw. How am i supposed to connect those 2 pipes without changing the 45 degrees elbow? I can only 3d rotate the pipes so that they can fit. Besides that, the length of the pipes in the x-y plane can be adjusted (lengthen or shorten) but the have to be perpendicular to each other.

I have another 2 pipes which are more complicated as one pipe is horizontal while the other one is sloping. Can these pipes be actually be joined in ACAD?

Thanks...

Guess I'm not following 100%. The 45° can be rotated as required.

I'm not anywhere close to 3D, only played with 3D on occasion.

I do all my boring stuff in 2D, plan and elevation views.

Play with the attached *.dwg and let me know what you think. :?
