Guest RODDY1
Hi I am Using AutoCad 2009 and Sketchup Pro 7 I have created a solid spiral in AutoCad using helix command followed by the sweep command. But when i import this drawing into Sketchup all the solids transfer ok apart from the solid spirals which are not transfered. Can anyone help Many Thanks Alan
JBullseye74
alreeet Roddy.... i would just export the helix as a line into sketchup and use the 'follow me command' to turn this into a solid. Alternatively you can just draw the full helix in sketchup there are many tutorials on line how to do this OR type HELIX in 3D warehouse Exporting 3d models into sketchup directly from autocad doesn't always come in very well. f700es
Have a look here, there are a few helix rubies to try. Good luck http://www.crai.archi.fr/RubyLibraryDepot/Ruby/em_arc_page.htm
