warren architecture Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 guys I'm loving the new look and feel of 2010 but can the Tabs and Panels be cumtomised? i.e adding other standard tool buttons to the panels? and making your own cutome panel? Quote
ReMark Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Yes they can be customized. Save a backup copy of the acad.cui in case you make a mistake. In AC 2009 I created a custom Ribbon with my own tabs and panels. And that was when customizing the Ribbon wasn't all that easy. 2010 has introduced some improvements. Quote
Rob-GB Posted November 20, 2009 Posted November 20, 2009 Im pretty sure Lynn allen covered it a while back but cannot find the file, however, try this http://docs.autodesk.com/ACD/2010/ENU/AutoCAD%202010%20User%20Documentation/index.html?url=WS1a9193826455f5ff13d8321148f78dfd9-2b48.htm,topicNumber=d0e3567 It is a copy of the help file, which we all know can be hard to find within help! Quote
drwhite Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 Autocad help says you can import a .mnu file as a customization. My autocad 2010 says no. I followed instructions in help file. Does not work. Why? Quote
ReMark Posted December 7, 2009 Posted December 7, 2009 The AutoCAD 2010 Customization Guide, under the chapter entitled Transfer and Migrate Customization, says "the CUI Editor can be used to transfer data in a CUI, MNU, or MNS file to a CUIx file without modifying the original customization or menu file." Did you use the Migrate Custom Settings dialog box to migrate your customizations from your previous AutoCAD release? Quote
