Inserting PDFs into Civil3D

I'm currently using LDT 2007 and I'm getting to know Civil3D 2010. I was wondering if I was able to insert a PDF into Civil3D without having to convert it to an image file before hand? If so, does it make the file gigantic?

If it's an AutoCAD based product then yes. type PDFATTACH for the command
