Copac Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 Hi all, I need to change objects in autocad. I am a landsurveyor and after importing a job all the traffic lights have come out as circles, now i have a template for traffic lights and would like to change all the circles into the template I have, without losing the elevation of the object. Is this possible? Cheers Copac Quote
ReMark Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 When you say "template" is that the same as a "block"? Quote
alanjt Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 If the circle is a block, you could just use the Express Tool Block Replace, but even that would force you to select them individually. Can you post an example of what you have and what you want? This could easily be accomplished with a little code. Quote
Copac Posted December 17, 2009 Author Posted December 17, 2009 Yea that would be really helpful, thanks!! Eh how do I post an example? oh and im currently using autocad 2005, does this make a difference? Quote
ReMark Posted December 17, 2009 Posted December 17, 2009 dbroada suggests this method: use -INSERT oldblockname=newblockname or if the block name is the same -INSERT block= the new block must be in a pathed folder. Quote
