CrustyFur
I'm looking for someone who knows Revit inside out and has experience of linking it to SQL databases. Are there such people around?

CrustyFur
I'd like to be able to push information from selected items in a CAD model to a web-based Microsoft SQL database, and also pull information from SQL into the Revit model. We have an online component library that where we hold items of equipment. These are currently in AutoCAD format and are idropped into AutoCAD. We then schedule a list of equipment back to the website (SQL database) where the cost information is held. From this we can create cost schedules and purchasing lists. It's that functionality we would like to replicate in Revit.
qbi
hmm, I think it is immposible without additional software. In autocad You are using reactors to trigger some action (import or export informaton into block and attributes), here in revit You have to do it manualy - that is why You need additional soft (extension). Rest will be the same as in ACAD. (...) Find element (idElement) check for properties (properties) if ok do nothing if not swap with new value(...) - in short view .
