Cad64 Posted January 30, 2010 Share Posted January 30, 2010 What are your computer specs? What rendering engine are you using? Mental Ray? Vray? Scanline? Other? What are your render settings? Are you usinig Global Illumination and/or Final Gather? What type of materials are you using? Do you have a lot of shiny, reflective materials like chrome? Or are you using a lot of bump or displacement maps? What type of lighting are you using? Are you using a daylight system? Are you sure it's stopping? Sometimes it will appear that the render has stopped, but in reality, it's just computing a very difficult area of the image and may stall for a very long time before moving on.
