X-Sec tie at Specific Distance

Im in Land Desktop 2006 and this should be easy but I'm just not finding it.

 

In our cross sections we want the tie to meet existing at a specific distance behind the curb, instead of at a specific slope.

 

Where do I tell it the distance? All I can find is slopes....
