cms370 Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 I just installed AutoCad Civil 3D Trial Version. Everything appears to be working correctly except that I can not set my workspace settings to Civil 3D. The available options are: 1) 2D Drafting and Annotation 2) 3D Modeling 3) AutoCad Classic Is there something else that needs to be done? What could be the problem here? Please let me know, somewhat difficult to evaluate the product without the full functionality. Thanks. Quote
lpseifert Posted February 4, 2010 Posted February 4, 2010 Seems like you've opened 'Autocad Civil 3d 2010 as Autocad' instead of 'Autocad Civil 3D 2010'. If that is the case you won't have the functionality of Civil 3D, including the Workspaces. Try going to Windows Start > Programs > Autodesk > AutoCad Civil 3D 2010 and starting it from there. Quote
cms370 Posted February 4, 2010 Author Posted February 4, 2010 lpseifert, Here is what I have: Start -> All Programs -> Autodesk -> Autocad Civil 3D 2010 -> Autocad Civil 3D as Autocad 2010. So you might be right that it is opening in that manner...but I do not have anything else to click on?? Quote
cms370 Posted February 5, 2010 Author Posted February 5, 2010 Here is the fix... Double check the path for your "Main Customization File" by running the Options command. I've seen this happen on several occassions wherein the path is pointing to the wrong location. Typically it should point to "C:\Documents and Settings\Username\Application Data\Autodesk\C3D 2009\enu\support\civil" and I suspect that it may be pointing to the vanilla AutoCAD path/cui. Quote
