it sucks that this stupid question is gonna be my first post, but...

i just re-installed autocad 2008 on my home computer after upgrading to windows7 and when i brought up a drawing i've been working on at work on version 2007 LT, the lines show very faint. i'm not sure if this is a setting someplace that i missed. thanks for your time.

Are the layers locked? LAYLOCKFADECTL?

nope, everything else is working normally... just looks weird with the lines being so faint and really looks pixelated.

Sounds like a driver issue to me.

very well could be since the things i've read say that autocad 2008 isn't compatible with windows 7. i guess it may just be time to upgrade to 2010.

It's not that AutoCAD isn't compatible it's that the drivers for your graphics card may not be. Check the manufacturer's website and see if they offer drivers that will work with Win7.

thanks... i am running an older custom pc so maybe its just time to do a major upgrade. i even tried doing the xp mode on the pc and it says that my processor doesn't have the necessary things- forget what they were called of the top of my head- even though it is a dual-core. thanks for everyone's help.
