salmonrose
I understand there are speical symbols we can insert like %%d = °. How about the unicod strings (\U+00B0 for °)? How do I use that? I mean, do I type \U+00B0 instead of %%d when I am doing mtext? Or the string is more for script and coding use? Thanks.
ScribbleJ
You type it in just as you see it. Your example \U+00B0 is spot on. Make sure you include the plus sign in the code.
BIGAL
Easiest way is to hold down the alt Key then enter the correct number on the number pad if you want extra characters like sq 2 and cubed 3 eg alt+0159 also pick the @ symbol on the mtext menu and you can the correct cahracter without typing. Using the alt method it opens up heaps of other usefull charcaters but you do need to know the correct number. eg 0175 is copyright sysmbol
