(I'm new here) Recently I downloaded some revit families from a well known Revit site. I had the option of either downloading the models individually or could compile a executable zip file containing 10 items.

I noticed some strange behavior from my computer, and at some point could not access most of the microsoft programs Office, Outlook, Internet Explorer etc., the worst of which is that the program required to restore to an earlier date could not be accessed. (BIG trouble)

Fortunately, my wife had a profile stored on the machine and I was able to access the recovery console (I was suprised). So that nightmare is over.

Now for the current dilema:

With some of the .exe and also some of the .rfa if I even just highlight them my computer goes into anaphylactic shock ,the symptoms of which are as follows:

The computer freezes and if I have the task manager open I see 100% cpu usage (hence the freeze effect)

Have any of you guru's experienced anything like this.

Thanks,

Hank
