MSasu Posted February 17, 2010 Posted February 17, 2010 Press F2, this will display the text window and move it on the other screen. Quote

BIGAL Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Looking at you in stereo at the moment would never go back to a single Acad excell & word all at once screen area is for drafting properties layers etc menus on other screen. Need good graphics card though. Quote
f700es Posted February 22, 2010 Posted February 22, 2010 Yes it is a big plus! Most modern graphics cards have dual screen support. I would not get a bottom of the barrel one though plan on spending a bit on a good one. I myself prefer nVidia based cards. Quote
chomuth Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 nVidia I use also. Once you get spoiled with 2 monitors there is no going back. Quote

Need good graphics card though. Or two graphics cards. I wish dual monitor but, work side x side on my 36" LDC monitor. OK but not dual. Quote
Arizona Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I couldn't work on a single monitor system. I been on dual screen systems since 1991. Who remembers "Non-VGA Graphics Cards"? Quote
chomuth Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 I remember running a different cadd system it is what became known as MicroStation now from a vax machine. That was around when version 2.5 of autocad was out 1985. I guess I am showing my age Quote
Arizona Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 Ahh....the ol UStn on the Vax system, with the Dual 21" bohemith monitors on the slanted table with a tablet - you must have been workin for the DOT. I remember seeing a pile of them, the monitors and the tables, out behind the DOT buildings waiting for the Junk man....the PC killed the Vax. Quote
chomuth Posted March 4, 2010 Posted March 4, 2010 You are correct UStn. That was very good. Evidentally you are no recent graduate. I even have a tattoo from a ink pen fond memories. I actually worked for a engineering company called Donohue & Accociates. Did alot of mapping. Quote
