Model space text not showing in paperspace (not a VP visibility thing)

however the leaders are shown. The text prints ok, but does not shown on the screen.

It is OK in Acad Lt 2006 but not Acad 2008 which I am using. :x

wait, you can't see it but you can print it - can you highlight it?

Are they a funny color? As in, a white-ish color?

They are Leaders right? So two objects, one leader and one MText?

First guess was that the annotation scale was wrong, but then it shouldn't plot...

Hi,

Yes the text looks like a white box. I am using background mask but even the text without background mask isn't displaying. If I zoom out a bit I can just about see the text, but when I zoom in closer it dissapears !

Again this is not happening in Acad Lt 2006 .

Sorry forgot to say that they are seperate objects as you sugest (not Multi leaders)

Having agonised over this, the only resolution was to create a new viewport, which then showed the text. Still dont know why this happened to this set of drawings though !

Could it have been that you set a color in just that Viewport? That could be something that came in 2008 which is why it doesn't work the same in 2006. If you still have the faulty viewport, check the Layer Manager while inside the viewport and see if there are some strange settings in the Viewport Color column.

Having narrowed this issue down, it turns out that the problem is with the polygonal viewport created in Acad 2002 and then opened in Acad 2008 !

The rectangular VP works OK, but not the irregular one.

Again this still doesn't tell me why though ! And its only drawings in one project.

The viewport text missing issue is still a problem, and is now suspected to be a problem with Acad 2008 Lt and Windows Vista ? Anyone else with a similar problems ?
