stevsmith Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 When I start a new sketch in a new part it asks me to select the drawing plane i wish to start on, but when I click on it, it still stays in an isometric view. Where the heck is the setting that will bring the plane "normal to" when I select it. ???:? Quote
shift1313 Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 I believe if you go into Tools>Options. On the System Options Tab go down to View. There is a check box that says "Zoom to fit when changing to standard views. I think that does it but im not sure. Quote
shift1313 Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 nevermind that didnt change anything. not sure Stevie as mine has always done that. But i just noticed it only does it in the context of a part document. If I start a new part in an assembly file it doesnt go to a normal view without me clicking it or using ctrl+8 Quote
stevsmith Posted March 5, 2010 Author Posted March 5, 2010 mmmm. I haven't had the chance to test it out yet. It can't get my 3dConnexion spacepilot to sync correctly either. I had a problem with my computer and had to get it fixed, this seems to be the only bugs left. Cheers for helping Matt. Quote
shift1313 Posted March 5, 2010 Posted March 5, 2010 ill keep digging around stevie. Ctrl + 8 is a pretty quick way to do it, especially if you just link a button on the spacepilot. Its odd that it works for me on a part but not assembly file. Quote
stevsmith Posted March 9, 2010 Author Posted March 9, 2010 It seems that when I highlight the plane I want to draw on in the design tree and then pick my sketch line it changes the view to normal to. It just doesn't do it when I select the line 1st and then the plane on screen. ARRRGGHH!! Quote
