Hi all,

Im new to this site. I have spent many hours and searched high and low trying to creat a new wall type.

I am new to using the "3D Architecture" part of Auto Cad but am experianced in 2D auto Cad.

Question: How/ can you create new wall types. For example I want to create a 230 Cavity Brick wall (90mm bwk + 50 cavity + 90mm brickwork). I know you can do this in Revit and Archi Cad but i cant for the life of work out how to do it in this program. please help.

Thanks

Scroll down a bit in this area of the site, There was someone that asked the question a few months ago. And there is a pretty good description within the help file. For help with learning autocad Architecture, A good book to take a look at is Paul Aubin's Mastering Autocad Architecture. Creating wall styles works pretty similar to Revit. Although setting priorities and exact placing is a little more involved. To get started, right click on a wall and select "copy wall style and assign" then go to the components tab, and you will have all the areas you will need to get started.
