saray1981 Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 Hi, I have drawn a house and I want to hatch its walls. First I draw the boaders of a wall and then I take the borders to the top view forexample and then I start the procedure of hatching. But when I come back to the isometric view I see the the pattern has jumped somewhere else and it is hard to recognize the exact place it should be moved. Please help me get rid of this problem. ReMark Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 I see no benefit what-so-ever in hatching the walls of a house. If you're doing the design in 3D eventually there will come a time when you'll take it to the next logical step and assign materials, lights and finally render it. The hatching of the walls will add nothing to this process. Quote
SEANT Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 I see no benefit what-so-ever in hatching the walls of a house. . . . . . It does allow for texture representation in a pure vector format. Some good 3d perspective views from an old pen plotter, perhaps. Quote
ReMark Posted March 8, 2010 Posted March 8, 2010 I think the emphasis would be on old pen plotter. LOL Quote
SEANT Posted March 9, 2010 Posted March 9, 2010 Yeah, it’s been a number of years since I’ve had access to a pen plotter myself. In these days of inkjets the old pen plots do look dated – though still pretty cool. Especially the perspective renders. Quote
