The Buzzard Posted March 24, 2010 Author Share Posted March 24, 2010 Just for anyone's own information: The bottom two formulas are EN PED or Europeon Pressure Equipment Directive for calculating an accurate IDD or Inside Depth of Dish distance. The top formula is for ASME Torispherical heads. Here is the complete break down of information for your use. Keep in mind that this info was hard to find on the internet. So if you work with pressure vessels you may want to copy this image and put it someplace where it will be handy when you need it. Below also is a complete PDF for computing partial volume of a pressure vessel if you are interested.
