Oops... Autocad 2004 something got turned off

Ok, Im fairly new to autocad, I have 2010 at home and 2004 at work, that I rarely use, just primarily for dimensioning parts. On the 2004, I somehow turned something off, and now its doing two things that I notice. First, is when I go to dimension a part, normally if I was measuring the angle of two lines, after I selected them, I could move my mouse and on the screen it would show me the dimension text moving around so I could see the placement and then just left click where I wanted it. Its now no longer doing that, after I select both lines, nothing shows up on the screen until I left click on the mouse and then the dimension shows up wherever I had the mouse at. Now while trying o figure this problem out, I also realised that if I go to draw a rectangle, it now doesnt show the rectangle I am drawing. Normally if I click my start point, I can move the mouse around and see the rectangle on the screen and its shape as I move the mouse. Now i can click the start point and it shows nothing on the screen until I go to the second point and left click on the mouse. I hope this makes sense bc I feel like I have lost ten years off my life trying to figure it out! Any help is much appreciated.

Try turning Dragmode=1 and see if that helps.

You are a GENIUS! Iv spent... well I wont tell, but alot of time trying to figure it out. I have no idea how I turned it off, is there a quick key for this or something? Thanks again, now Im going to have to start posting all my 2010 questions here.

Actually that should be Dragmode > Auto (or on).

How it got turned off? I'm guessing a lisp program without error control to reset it.

No 'quick key' that I know of.
