When you are using the data extraction tool in AutoCAD is there a way to extract the data in the order it was chosen? I have a ton of pieces scattered about a layout and I am trying to extract their lengths, but in the order that I pick them. It seem s as though the data extraction sorts them either in ascending or descending order. Am I missing a setting or something, does anybody know how to sort the extraction by order chosen? Quote

What you could do is add an invisible attribute (name: ORDER for example)to your blocks and put a number there in the order you want your blocks; 01,02,03. Then sort descending by that attribute.
