Hi all,

I have an attribute in a dynamic block that has a box around it. Is there anyway I can get the box to strech as the text expands? For example if my box defaults at 10mm wide and I define 15mm worth of text when i insert my block.....how can i get the box to stretch to fit the text? I wanna stay away from lisp, tables and I dont want the text to stretch.

Many Thanks

I'm afraid you'l have to add a manual stretch grip to the box, the text sends out no variables which can be used in coördination with dynamic properties.

Alternatively you could scale the text with a scale action and incorporate the box in the same action but this will be hard to get right.

Thats ok, there is alot of talk throughout forums on this topic and non gave a clear answer either way as to whether it could be done or not. Thanks for your help.
