ReMark Posted April 7, 2010 Posted April 7, 2010 I guess you've never heard the phrase "full disclosure" have you? I'm out of ideas for the moment. I'll think on it. Quote

Rahman Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 ..maybe reinstall and repair the Autocad software will be the last resort..?! Quote
ReMark Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 I'd suggest trying the Repair option first. If that does not work then do a reinstall. I was hoping there was a solution that would avoid a reinstall. Quote
kerno Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 I'm a little curious. What is it that you're actually trying to copy / paste from one drawing to another? Text? Lines? Hatch? My suggestion is that rather than copy / past is that you create a block using the wblock command. Select only the desired objects and give it an insertion point. You can even go as far as to open the new block in a new session and purge & audit the new dwg Then insert this new block into your other drawing using the insertion point that you gave it. Exploding the block once inserted is option, and may not actually help. I belive that by doing it this way you may be able flush out any erros that may be in the objects that you are trying to copy / paste. At the very least, if there are errors, you may be able to narrow it down to what it is by having less objects to worry about. Let me know if this helps. Other thoughts? Cheers Quote
ninh Posted May 13, 2010 Author Posted May 13, 2010 Hi Kerno, Thank for help me about the problem of Copy/paste. I know we can make a write block but even I just copy and paste a text in to another drawing it still take a while. I did not get the problem before. If you can have another ways please. Thanks Quote
ardnas Posted May 19, 2010 Posted May 19, 2010 i am also having a problem. -scalelistedit does remove the xtra scales when i reset them but it comes back. when i reopen a drawing or refresh an xref.there are so many scales and this is what holds up the paste part into another drawing. how do i get rid of the scales that keep multiplying. would love some help Quote
omega1227 Posted June 10, 2010 Posted June 10, 2010 Hi, you need to run 'Scale list Cleanup' Utility. Install AutoCAD 2008 Service Pack 1 or corresponding service packs for AutoCAD-based products. The Scale List Cleanup Utility repairs files affected before the necessary service pack was installed. The exe file 'should' be in C:\Program Files\AutoCAD 2008. You can select either dwgs or whole job folders. This HAS worked for us. Quote
