Was the file produced on Acad 2010?

If so you need to change "save as" to a lower version.

Just to be clear:

This is a file that YOU created on YOUR computer with Autocad LT 2007, is that correct?

If so, look in the folder where your drawing file is located. There should be two files. One with a .dwg extension and another one with a .bak extension. Rename the one with the .bak extension to .dwg, as Car5858 suggested, and then you should be able to open it.

If you do not have a file with a .bak extension then you will need to redo the drawing because your .dwg file is corrupt.

One other option would be to open Autocad and run the RECOVER command. You might be able to salvage the drawing if it's not too badly damaged.

- I found my bak file and renamed it. I can open it now! THANKS.

However, I'm concerned, what happen? I don't want this to happen again? Clues?

Perhaps the file became corrupt somehow. It's difficult to say. You didn't share the drawing with anyone else did you?

Where is the file stored?

Workstation HD?

Lap top HD?

Zip drive?

I guess since I was able to restore my file, I'm good.
