jgz Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Lets say a user works on a drawing and takes some measurements and every thing is fine. Now another user brings up the drawing to edit, and takes some measurements are off by 1/32 or 1/64. What can be the cause? Quote
Strix Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 are the original measurements dimensions or just measurements? how is it being measured? electronically or plotted off? What's the accuracy of the dimensions set to? is it rounding up/down? Quote
jgz Posted August 23, 2008 Author Posted August 23, 2008 This is in reference to a problem I had in the past when another person edited a drawing that I had previously edited. They claimed I did not input the information correctly. Because when they checked a distance (lets sat 8'-2" they would get a measurement of 8'-2 1/128". I know that I had put the information correct and suspect some kind of setting in their autocad that did not match mine. But can't figure out which one. Quote
nocturne00 Posted August 23, 2008 Posted August 23, 2008 Maybe its not that the dimensions are off, but one is more precise than the other. check the DIMENSION STYLE, under PRIMARY UNITS, see PRECISION. maybe the style the other is using is set to 0-1/32" and the other 0-1/64", or something like that Quote
