heypal Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Working in AutoCad 2000i, I have a question regarding copy/pasting of graphics. Sometimes while attempting to copy/paste information from one drawing to another, it fails. 1. I will copy graphics (control C) from one drawing. 2. Then cycle to anther drawing and hit Control V to drop the graphics. 3. It will fail and the command line will read _pasteclip. This usually happens with drawings from an outside source. Is there a way around this? Thanks, Pal Quote
Cad64 Posted April 19, 2010 Posted April 19, 2010 Sounds like your outside source may be using Autocad 2007. You should contact them and tell them to apply this hotfix: http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=7450124&linkID=9240618 Quote
heypal Posted April 19, 2010 Author Posted April 19, 2010 These are older drawings so it will be tough to get in contact with all the venders whose graphics are shared on the drawing. Quote
nukecad Posted April 20, 2010 Posted April 20, 2010 Try using DWGtrueview, you can download it free from the Autodesk website. If you 'convert in place' the problem drawings to the same fromat that they already are this will cure the copy/paste problem. Quote
heypal Posted April 20, 2010 Author Posted April 20, 2010 That worked like a charm, thank you! Pal Quote
