Working in AutoCad 2000i, I have a question regarding copy/pasting of graphics. Sometimes while attempting to copy/paste information from one drawing to another, it fails.

1. I will copy graphics (control C) from one drawing.

2. Then cycle to anther drawing and hit Control V to drop the graphics.

3. It will fail and the command line will read _pasteclip.

This usually happens with drawings from an outside source. Is there a way around this?

Thanks,

Pal

These are older drawings so it will be tough to get in contact with all the venders whose graphics are shared on the drawing.

Try using DWGtrueview, you can download it free from the Autodesk website.

If you 'convert in place' the problem drawings to the same fromat that they already are this will cure the copy/paste problem.

That worked like a charm, thank you!
