Controlling Layer Visibility in a Linked Model

rab

Recommended Posts

I'm working with Revit MEP and when I link an architectural model I can't control the layer or object visibility. When I go into 'Visibility Graphics' the model categories are light fittings, ducts etc. Under the revit links tab I don't get any objects listed.

Stumped

You need to go into "revit links" under VG (visibility/graphics).

Inside Revit Links you can tell revit how to display that link. You can either give it completely custom options, mimic what the linked plan is, or show the element categories that you show in the host view.

I would recommend setting it to custom and using the model/annotation categories (also set to custom) to control what shows through the Arch link.
