mohamed elsefy Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 HI all , I want to know how i can to make a certain draw as a Block to use it at any time thank in advance Quote
Rebel Posted April 23, 2010 Posted April 23, 2010 write the block out. This makes your block an individual dwg file. Save it to a place where you can access it easily, and whin you insert a block, click the browse button to find it. enter wblock into the command line, and a window will pop up allowing you to select the objects & basepoint, as well as select the file path & name of the block. ReMark Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 Blocks are typically used within the drawing they are created in or they can be, as Rebel pointed out, WBlocked out to the hard drive, saved as a dwg file and inserted into other drawings as needed. Blocks can also be pulled from one drawing into another via the Design Center. Typically the user will create his or her blocks on layer 0 that way when they are inserted they will take on the color and linetype of the layer they are placed on. Quote
dbroada Posted April 24, 2010 Posted April 24, 2010 and when creating blocks ALWAYS select the basepoint to be in your geometry. You have no idea how much trouble you will have later if you leave the basepoint box displaying 0,0 Quote
