MichaelJ07 Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 How the heck do I remove the icons for Buzzsaw, Redspark, and Point A in the Open dialog box? I am running Auto Cad 2002. It's the little things in life that drive me crazy! Thanks Mike Quote
mdbdesign Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 download some freeware at http://www.jtbworld.com remicons.lsp Quote
alanjt Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 You can right-click on the icon and select Remove. Quote
MichaelJ07 Posted April 26, 2010 Author Posted April 26, 2010 Well, I downloaded the lisp from Jimmy's site and stuffed it in Auto Cad, but having a little trouble running it at the command line. Reading the lisp, I figured you should type "remiconsTTTTT", but that didn't work. So, what is the command to start that little puppy? Also, I have no option to remove those stated icons. I can remove the ones I placed there myself, but the icons mentioned in my OP have no option to remove. Thanks for your time. I learn a lot frogging around this place. Mike Quote
alanjt Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 Also, I have no option to remove those stated icons. I can remove the ones I placed there myself, but the icons mentioned in my OP have no option to remove. Ahh, OK. They must not have given that option in older versions. Quote
MichaelJ07 Posted April 26, 2010 Author Posted April 26, 2010 Ahh, OK. They must not have given that option in older versions. So.....the old jokes have started... Thanks for the info, though. I absolutely appreciate your time. I'll keep looking. Quote
dbroada Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 well I learned something. Having tried to remove them years ago I haven't even bothered trying recently. Now I have. Quote

MichaelJ07 Posted April 26, 2010 Author Posted April 26, 2010 Load lisp and type remicons in command line and done I swear on my my dawgs grave that is what I have done. Even been talking to the creator of the lisp. Maybe I should change my socks or something. The lisp must work. Everyone link points to it! Arg!!! Quote
alanjt Posted April 26, 2010 Posted April 26, 2010 So.....the old jokes have started... well I learned something. Having tried to remove them years ago I haven't even bothered trying recently. Now I have. I also keep my user folder and the projects folder, and when I'm working on a big project that I'll be on for a while, I'll copy that folder over too (so I can quickly jump to it each day). Quote
MichaelJ07 Posted April 27, 2010 Author Posted April 27, 2010 Jimmy sent a reggy file that worked like a charm! No more icons that I don't want. If it's applicable, I can post the .reg here somewhere? Thank you for your help with my OCD little issue. I'm certain another one will crop up. PS: Nice old guy image, alanjt. Kinda does look like me Quote
