dldecler Posted April 29, 2010 Posted April 29, 2010 Hi there, This is my first post on these forums, shout out to all the senior members. I'm a civil engineering undergrad, and i've already taken an autocad course but frankly, mashing through assignments doesn't teach u how to use the program. I need to make a layout design for a work project i have. The site is a polygon hill elevated 93m on one end compared to the other. It's pretty big. My company installs geomembranes, as this is a sulfur mine land reclamation project, a layout design is required to show placement of all the rolls of coletanche (our geomembrane). My autocad skills are not that strong, although I have used it before. Attached is my 'attempt' at this, i'm having trouble creating the 3D shape of our job site properly, and I was also wondering if their is an easy way to lay 5.74x80 m strips along the top of the hill, so as to show the layout of our geomembrane. Possibly just creating a mesh, and splitting into thin strips similar to the size necessary. I think after you take a look at what i've made so far, it would make sense. Any help would be appreciated. Note: My 3d version is 350 kB, and too big to upload, so i will just upload the 2d polygon, Geomembrane Outline - Polyline.dwg Quote
