Hello all,

Yet agian i'm having trouble with clients drawing's!!

I've got 2 drawings from the cleint's online drawing register, when I've got both drawing open and try to copy anything from one to the other I get a 5 minute pause.....then eventully it copies accross.

I have tried every diffrent way to copy the objects from one to the other but still the same 5 minute wait??

The message I get when it eventully work's is:

Command: Duplicate definition of block _DotBlank ignored.

Any one got any idea's??

Even if I move all the objects onto layer 0 and purge then try, it still does the same.

It only happens with there drawing's, ive tried opening one of there drawings and then a blank drawing and it copies fine....

Cheers

Neil

it just means that there is a block called _DotBlank in both drawings, possibly nested within another block. I don't think that wouldbe the cause of your delay.

Ok, I think i'm on the right track....

I went to tool's-block editor, it came up with current drawing and dot_blank.

When I clicked on current drawing it paused for a min and then worked, it includes the whole drawing even though its not a block?

When I go to the dot_blank block it works fine, no prob's..

How can I delete the block defenition?? As I do not need dot_blank etc

Cheers

Neil

if it isn't purging it is probably within another block.

When this sort of thing happens to me I.....

draw a LONG line at an angle and BMAKE a new definition of the problem block, selecting my recently drawn long line. Accept the redefined block and do a regen. Hopefully you will see the line appear in existing blocks and you have to redefine that block. If nothing happens UNDO and accept defeat.
