Phil-Bert
Hey guys, I have a problem with my text editor in ACAD 2008. When I try to edit mtext, the window comes up so large that it will not fit on the screen. I have done a search for the "What You See Is What You Get" command that is in 2010, but I can't find anything for 2008. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bert

Dana W
That happened to me when I used my modelspace text style in paper space. My modelspace units were feet and my paperspace units were inches. My text height was 10 since I planned to plot at 1" = 100'-0". 10 feet is a bit bigger than my paper. Either your text height is huge or you are zoomed in really close. Most of the time, you should set your text style height at 0.0, so you can use it in dimstyles and leader styles and adjust the height there. The one time you will set your text height in the text style is when you are only going to use it in model space, and you are only going to plot at one particular scale and you want everything to be the same text height. The drawing I refered to does have a text style used for paperspace notes but its height is 0.10.
Dana W
Look into the system variable MTEXTFIXED Yeah, that could be it, of course. Wow, that one variable has quite a few options. Check out the F1 key too.
Phil-Bert
Look into the system variable MTEXTFIXED Thanks for all your suggestion. The MTEXTFIXED variable worked like a charm. Thanks again. Bert
