Enigma Posted May 11, 2010 Posted May 11, 2010 I like to use textmask a fair bit, and it works well on the printed drawings, but when printed to PDF it creates a black fill where the text is. Aside from removing the textmask, does anyone have a solution? Quote
LearningQuickly Posted May 14, 2010 Posted May 14, 2010 Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but I have run into this problem many-a-time (our subs use the textmasking all the time) and I have found no way around it other than deleting the text masking. There is another way to "mask" the text without actually using a textmask though, and it doesnt show up in the PDFs as a black block. With the text selected, open your properties (Ctrl+1) then you will notice a lil ways down in the "TEXT" area of the properties box there is a "background" option. Just check the boxes "Use Background Mask" and "Use drawing background color". This should mask the text and have no conflicts with the PDFs. Hope this helps. Quote
Enigma Posted May 15, 2010 Author Posted May 15, 2010 Good idea, thanks. I do use that method with dimensions, never thought to see if it would do the same with just regular text. Quote
