having trouble with a linetype

it is an electrical linetype we use all the time with no problems

---E---E---E---E

I import it into my drawing then matchprop the polyline. It changes color and layer and linetype but displays as solid

I draw a pline identical to the one that displays as solid. I matchprop no problem

I trace over the stubborn lines with new plines ---E---E no problem

I erase the stubborn lines thinking the problem solved

I zoom out and they appear solid. I zoom back in and they stay that way. I did a regenall with no help

The confusing thing is that the original line I imported is not effected. It displays correctly

It sounds like the problem linetype has some form of z values (i.e. elevation) attributed to it.

Attributed Text In Linetypes:

Is it still possible to attribute text in a linetype?

Early Versions of Cad Version 11/12, I believe had the basic ability to generate an attributed line type.
