td88 Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 I brought a drawing home from work and the tblock is xrefd in layout. When I open, it shows the path only, of course. How do I recreate the tblock at home so that I can send it, as is, back to work and have it work there without having to create a new path each time? I have copied the tblock drawing and brought it home. Thanks, Tim Quote
Cad64 Posted May 15, 2010 Posted May 15, 2010 Xrefs will automatically repath if they are in the same folder as the drawing they are referenced into. So when you get the drawings home, if you don't want to change the path, just drop the title block into the folder with your drawing and then open the drawing and the title block will be there. You can also attach your xrefs with a "Relative" path, see here for explanation: http://www.caddmanager.com/CMB/2006/12/autocad-2007-xrefs-relative-paths/. However, I'm not sure if this option is available in 2006 LT? Quote
td88 Posted May 16, 2010 Author Posted May 16, 2010 Thanks Cad 64, when I place the tb in my folder at home, will it automatically show up in the right place at work, when I send the file back to work, after working on it at home, or do I need to place it in its original place at work every time? Cad64 Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 You will need to put your title block back in its original place when you get it back to work. Quote
