Dana W Posted May 16, 2010 Posted May 16, 2010 Open the design center dialog and navigate it to the Sample directory. Check out the blocks in House Designer.dwg, and Kitchens.dwg. Often you can go to the fixture manufaturer's website and download CAD drawings and blocks of all their products. For instance, Kholer makes available all their sinks, tubs, toilets, fixtures, and a bunch of other stuff. Sometimes you have to drill down pretty deep into these websites. The drawings, if they have them, are often under various links like "For the Professional", "Designers" & "Architects" or just in the Support area. If you do this, you can save them in a folder in the Design center directory, but be sure to keep a copy stored outside of the AutoCAD files too. Otherwise, you may lose them if you have to do a re-install of your AutoCAD program. By the way. What's a 'Boiler' where you are? Here it's something to cook a chicken in. Or to power a steamship. Quote

beteemil Posted May 17, 2010 Author Posted May 17, 2010 Excuse my english language .... My primary language is not english. I found in my english-bulgarian dictionary these words: - boiler; - water-heater; - hot-water cistern. So I did decide to use the word boiler to describe water-heater. Excuse me. Quote
Dana W Posted May 17, 2010 Posted May 17, 2010 A boiler in the uk is a central heating hot water heater, you guys call them a furnace i believe ? Uh, no. We call 'em a Boiler. Sorry, I forgot about hot water heat and radiators. I grew up with coal and fuel oil fired boilers and radiators, and still love them, especially when they clank around, whistle and burble in the middle of the night just to get all the little kids screamin' and hollerin'. I still swear there was a pirate ship being sunk by a Kraken in my mother's basement. We don't build with that system very much in residential construction any more. When it is done, it is usually VERY high end. Typically, we have a Hot Water Heater, which is solely for that purpose and they are either central or point of use in location. Then we have a heating and cooling unit which can be either a forced air Furnace/ Air Conditioner combination, or a Heat Pump, which does the same thing but is an unpleasant little device that blows 69 deg breezes over you in the shower, in winter. Please, don't be concerned with your English. You are doing very well. I am impressed. English is my primary language and I cannot handle it all that well. I don't have any other language that I can use at all. No, wait. That is wrong, I can order Extra Value Meals in Spanish, by the number at McDonald's. Your English-Bulgarian Dictionary was probably written by someone from the UK. (settle down, it's a joke) Where many words are used differently than they are here in the US. Over here, the last thing we want is for a Hot Water Heater to become a Boiler. It will then become an Exploder. Quote
