If you need help, explain what problems you are having and post your CAD drawing so we can see what you've done so far. We can help, but we will not do the drawings for you. She couldn't find anyone to do her homework for her (for free) and the guy she talked into taking her exams skipped out and went to the beach with his buddies. From the look and the way that first post was presented along with an email, It has all the makings of a Hacker or Spammer. If you do a search of that email on the web you will see what I mean. No Ashley there. That email is used under several different Handle names that sound like a hacker is behind it and a few raw deals. I would be cautious about it. Quote

I checked the email and found this person on a gaming forum trying to sell some WOW accounts, but as long as she/he doesn't bring that nonsense here, I don't see a problem. I have, however, removed the email address. As for this thread, in general, it has been cleaned up. If you wish to discuss Maryland crab cakes or BBQ or anything else, please start a new thread in the chat forum. Quote

That email address can be found several places on the web. Most of them are hacker sites and under different names. I seen it before. Quote

Yes, as I stated previously, I have removed the email address so that no one can unwittingly get caught up in something by attempting to contact this person. Other than that, there is nothing more I can do at the moment. We can't ban people just because we think they might do something. If we did that, we would probably end up banning half the members that sign up here. Ashley could very well be a spammer/hacker on other forums, but may actually be looking for help here. We will keep an eye out for any further activity from this person, and if we spot anything fishy, we will deal with it. Quote

But just to point out again, As I did the researching and found what I did, It pays to be vigilant. This site was almost take down in a different manner. When some are unsuccessful they try other means. Even if their approach is sweet & cute to sucker you in. The whole idea is to take someone down. Anyone. There have been other instances of these situations with more of open type approach that does not fool anyone. So they come back a different way. Quote

That alternating capitalization, the "Leet-speak" in the original topic title, and the email address, all set-off warning signs for me.. Maybe I'm too cautious. Quote

As I said, we would have to ban half the people that sign up here. As far as I can tell, the attachment is just a Word document. It's the assignment that the OP was supposed to do. Not a virus. I have checked his/her IP address and there are no reports against it. No malicious activity reported from any forums. You are right to be suspicious though. You should never blindly click on links or send emails to anyone you don't know. It's just common sense. And especially when the OP presents himself/herself in such a juvenile manner. I agree that this thread is suspicious, but we can't ban someone without good reason. That would not be fair to anyone. Just be cautious and use good judgement when participating in online forums and you should be fine. Quote
