Daniel Baba Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 Hello, My question is how can I change scale at a one part wich it was dimensioned, to chande just the part without dimension. Let say I have draw a part, and I want to change sclale on it to 1:2 but wothout dimension, I need dimension to remain the same. If I dimension a lenght wich is 50mm I need this dimension to remain the same after I change the scale of the part. I try to transforme in block and change the scale of the created block, but it been changed the seize of the dimension text and I don't want that. So what is the method to change scale without change the dimension on the part. Quote
Dana W Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 The scale in model space should always be 1:1. You modify the scale by how it is printed out, using paperspace and viewports. In other words, the 'picture' of your object will be scaled, rather than your object. This is a simple process to execute, but a complicated concept to explain. Perhaps one of the more expert users of the forum could suggest a tutorial thread for you to look at. I don't know which would be best off hand. Quote
Dana W Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 I may have missunderstood what precisely you were asking, but you can still show a separate part of your object in a separate viewport in paperspace. The separate viewport would have whatever scale you desire, and there would be no need to mess around with multiple scales in modelspace, especially when working with 'blocked' items. Quote
