The Nickster Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Hey guys, A co-worker and i were talking about different ways to keep track of multiple drawings that have asinine numbering systems. We came up with the idea of making a block with an attribute definition and inserting the block into our drawings that we modify. This block would consist of having a revision date for the office and a submittal date for the field. The only problem is being able to actually remember to change the date on the block. Is there a way to set a reminder for when you close the drawing that prompts you to change the date on the block? Oh I forgot to mention I'm using AutoCAD MEP 2009 and my co-worker is using AutoCAD 2011 (Full Version). Quote
Lee Mac Posted June 11, 2010 Posted June 11, 2010 Hi Nickster, You could approach it in two ways I suppose - perhaps using a reactor to react to the Close command and automatically update your block attribute. Or you could use a field in the block attribute which would of course update upon a regen. I'd be happy to help you with either. Lee Quote
