dim style issue

i wanna change text height and dim style,globally

i need to do this in around 40 dwgs, should i go on making this changes for every dim styles. or is there a way to replace the existing dim styles and text styles by inserting the correct one from another file

You can import the dim style (rename it first) already set up in one drawing to another through the design center. Once it is in the 'new' drawing, select all dimensions, then click on the 'style' you need.

 

It should take about 1 to 2 minutes per drawing.

 

I suppose there is a way do do all of them at once through a lisp, but I don't know how to do that.

1. Import using design center. But this will not override the value if you already have dimstyle with the same name.
   
2. You can override the value using cad standard, this will override the dimension style settings with the same name.

If there's any other suggestion I'll fix the tutorial.

Open "dimstyle" on your *.dwt.

 

Adjust your dimension stype and save as a *.dwt. Done.

 

Change all your drawings? Don't know.
