salman
Hi all, I want to create a dynamic block to show pipes with following details 1. a line is used to reperesent the pipe. 2. at the mid point of the line their is an arrow (polyline) to show the direction of the flow in the pipe. 3. The line has a strech action associated with it so that we can can change the length of the pipe. Now I want the arrow symbol to remain in the middle of the line whenever we change the length of the line. How can we achieve this functionality for the arrow symbol (which action/parameter) is required for this. Please Guide.
dbroada
I would put a distance parameter on the length of the pipe and set that parameter to have just one grip. Then a stretch action on that parameter to stretch the free end of the pipe. (I assume you already have that bit done). Now you can add a MOVE or STRETCH action linked to the distance parameter for your arrow with a distance multiplier of 0.5 You can either have a flip parameter or use a visibility parameter for the arrow. Tankman
Perhaps you could use a lisp? You could make line types on the fly; i.e.: water>, , etc. The line type you create can be used for any shape, circle, curve, straight, etc. LTFly Instructions.zip
sergio javo
After several years. I used line for tube and pline for arrow. And used the coincident and parallel parametric command. And created a block and applied the polar stretch on the line. But the arrow was not centered. I hope it help you. I do not speak english very well.
