SEANT Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 An Isometric Drawing can be viewed from an angle that creates a distortion counter to the original iso-induced distortion. This has limited effectiveness given the filleted edges and such. If nothing else, the process is interesting. Here is the original drawing with a layout containing views that return some of the geometry to the ortho projections. UnIso2.dwg Quote

The overall object looks OK, more or less, but it's funny how the circles get stretched on one plane and not the other. :wink:I'm gonna take that picture to the local Mom 'n' Ol' Poop Hardware Store. Ol' Poop'll get a kick outa it when I ask him if he has any oval phleminer head machine screws. "But look. They're right here in the instructions! You always have everything I need." Quote

If the “Ol’ Poop” grew up through the ‘60’s, the drawing may induce a psychedelic flashback. Quote
rvpas Posted July 3, 2010 Posted July 3, 2010 Hi everyone, for information, there are some type of axonometrics perspectives that is with various angles of views. On Autocad we have the isometric that is that angles are equal (120 degrees) and that we normally have to apply a coéfficient of reduction of 0.82 to axes but to facilitate the drawing we apply simply 1. I translate a part of my training material for my trainees to help you bbankston, see below Bye Pascal Quote
