happyunited Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 IN AutoCAD 2010 this works a treat except it includes all the layers in the pdf which can be swicthed on/off and I dont really want the reciever to be able to do this. Any way of turning this off? Cheers Quote
chulse Posted July 2, 2010 Posted July 2, 2010 You can edit the custom properties to exclude layer info. I also set mine to convert fonts to graphics (solves the missing font popup error I was getting occasionally). Save it as a new .PC3 file... Quote
happyunited Posted July 2, 2010 Author Posted July 2, 2010 Thanks for that. Sorted! I have tried to filter the custom paper sizes because there are loads and I only ever use about 4. I think I have created a .pmp file but I can't select that when plotting. Any Ideas? Quote

chulse Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Change the custom properties: you can change the resolution to help reduce file sizes also. I think 300 dpi is more than enough. Maybe you don't have the same options in an older version...? I attached the one I use (remove the .txt extension). Copy of DWG To PDF-FLAT.pc3.txt Quote
RingSteel Posted July 6, 2010 Posted July 6, 2010 Thanks chulse for the info and the images! Is there any way to print a pdf so that the file can be marked up using Adobe Acrobat? (highlight text and similar) Quote
chulse Posted July 8, 2010 Posted July 8, 2010 For the text to be "seen as text" (and not as one big image) by Adobe , uncheck the "as geometry" box under Font Handling. The file should be able to be manipulated by Acrobat either way (markups, etc)... Quote
